Deep Cove Kid Club Society

The objective of Deep Cove Kid Club is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where our children’s needs are met in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The program is designed to provide children with opportunities to make choices, engage in problem-solving, interact with others and have fun. Through the varied activities offered at the Club, each child’s development is enhanced physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. Deep Cove Kid Club will work as a team with parents and teachers to nurture and guide our children through their elementary years. We focus on high quality child-centred care and a ratio of one staff member for every ten children is ensured.

Deep Cove Kid Club is an Out-Of-School Care facility housed in the two portable classrooms at the front of Deep Cove Elementary School. We are a registered, non-profit society, licensed by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) to care for a maximum of 40 children per programme. For the 2011/2012 school year Deep Cove Kid Club will run two school-aged programmes:

Non-Instructional Days (Pro-D Days)
Kid Club is open on the Pro-D days. Fees are $25.00 per child, per day. Kid Club will also run a Pro-D Day style Vacation Care before Christmas and during the Spring Break, dependant upon demand.

Fees
Regular fees are charged monthly, based on the number of days a child attends Kid Club. A non-refundable one-time registration fee of $25.00 per child is required at the time of registration. Monthly fees are paid by means of direct debit from the parent/guardian’s bank account. A tax receipt will be supplied annually in February.

Snacks
We provide a healthy, nutritious, home-made afternoon snack daily. For Pro-D days and Vacation Care we ask that children bring their own lunch.
